WELCOME TO SOUTH AFRICA! image

Dear friends,

It brings me so much joy to invite you to join us for Wild Within: A Yoga & Safari Immersion in Greater Kruger. South Africa holds a special place in many people's hearts, and to be able to share its breathtaking beauty, vibrant culture, and the stillness of its wilderness with you is a true privilege.

This retreat is about more than yoga or safari alone. It is about weaving them together, moving with the rhythms of the land, breathing beneath wide open skies, and allowing yourself to be both grounded and uplifted by the elements that surround us. From sunrise meditations by the dam to evenings gathered under starlit skies, we will journey not just into the wild, but also into the quieter spaces within ourselves.

Whether this is your first retreat or one of many, you will be held, nourished, and welcomed exactly as you are. My hope is that you leave with a deeper sense of connection to yourself, to nature, and to this extraordinary place.

I cannot wait to share this adventure with you.

With love and excitement,
Jackie

Welcome to South Africa!

Join us for Wild Within: A Yoga & Safari Immersion in Greater Kruger, a seven-night retreat that blends daily yoga and meditation with the adventure of South Africa’s wilderness.

Held at Phelwana Game Lodge in the Greater Kruger region, this retreat invites you to move, breathe, and reconnect with the rhythm of the wild. Each day brings a balance of practice and exploration from sunrise yoga on the dam wall with hippos nearby, to restorative evenings by firelight under the African stars.

Alongside our practices, we will journey into Kruger National Park in search of the Big Five, explore the dramatic Blyde River Canyon by boat, and immerse ourselves in the rich traditions of the Shangaan Cultural Village. Between adventures, there is time to rest, swim, indulge in the bush spa, and simply savour the stillness of nature.

Guided by the elements - Earth, Fire, Air, and Water - this retreat is both an inner and outer journey: grounding into presence, igniting passion, expanding into freedom, and flowing with ease.

With just 18 guest spaces available, this is an intimate opportunity to experience South Africa at its most alive, while nourishing body, mind, and spirit.

Full-Day Adventure in Kruger National Park

This is our day of fire, energy, and awakening. Before the first light touches the horizon, we rise and set off for a full-day safari into the legendary Kruger National Park, one of the largest and most celebrated wildlife reserves in the world. Wrapped in the cool air of dawn, we drive into the bush just as the animals are most active. Lions prowl at sunrise, elephants move silently through the acacias, and giraffes stretch high into the trees.

We pause along the way to share a packed breakfast in the heart of the park, surrounded by birdsong and the sounds of the wild. Throughout the day, our guides lead us deeper into Kruger’s diverse landscapes, from open savannah plains to riverbanks where hippos and crocodiles gather. We keep our eyes open for the Big Five - lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino - as well as countless antelope, zebras, and the colourful birdlife that animates the sky.

As the sun begins to set, we return to the comfort of Phelwana Lodge. The energy of the day is balanced with a restorative yoga session, inviting body and mind back into stillness. Dinner is shared together beneath the stars, and afterwards, those who wish can join around the bonfire. Sitting by the flames, we reflect on the day’s encounters, listening to the night sounds of the bush and the quiet stories carried by firelight.
