Step away from the noise of everyday life and reconnect with yourself in nature.
Join Ellen Mary for a carefully curated Wild Wellbeing Retreat set in the peaceful woodlands of North Carolina at Cold Spring Base Camp.
This 2-night immersive experience is designed to help you slow down, reset, and reconnect through gentle movement, plant-based living, creativity, and mindful practices. Surrounded by forest, fresh air, and a like-minded community, this is your space to pause and recharge.
For this retreat, we’ll be based at Cold Spring Basecamp, a peaceful, nature-immersed hideaway set within the forests of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
You can choose between staying in a shared rustic cabin or opting for a creekside camping spot, depending on how close to nature you’d like your experience to be. The cabins are cosy and back-to-basics, with wooden interiors, simple furnishings, and a true off-grid atmosphere. Creekside camping offers spacious pitches set alongside the flowing water, with space for a small campfire.
You’ll wake to birdsong, spend your days under the trees, and unwind in the evenings around the fire or beneath the stars. Whether it’s wandering forest trails, dipping into the creek, or simply finding a quiet spot to pause, this setting is the perfect backdrop for a wellbeing retreat.
The basecamp also has a sauna and cold plunge tucked into the woods for you to enjoy, the perfect way to reset after a day outdoors.
This isn’t a traditional hotel stay. It’s a chance to live more simply, more slowly, and more connected to nature.
Hi, I’m Ellen
I’m a gardening and wellbeing advocate, and the creator of Wild Wellbeing Retreats. My work is all about helping people reconnect with nature, slow down, and find simple, meaningful ways to support their wellbeing through plants and the outdoors.
I truly believe that nature has the power to ground us, restore us, and bring us back to ourselves. Through these retreats, I create a space where you can step away from the busyness of everyday life and reconnect with what really matters.
Across the weekend, I’ll be guiding you through a blend of gentle movement, plant-based workshops, journalling, and mindful practices. Everything is designed to feel accessible, relaxed, and supportive, whether you’re completely new to this or already on your wellbeing journey.
More than anything, this is about creating a welcoming space where you can just be – to breathe, to learn, to connect, and to leave feeling lighter, calmer, and inspired.
I can’t wait to share this experience with you. 🌿
