On this 8-day journey we’ll explore some of the most spectacular landscapes in the Dolomites, hiking through alpine meadows, high mountain passes and dramatic limestone peaks in one of Europe’s most iconic mountain regions. From the flower-filled pastures of Alta Badia and the wild scenery of Fanes Natural Park to the vast alpine plateau of Alpe di Siusi and the breathtaking ridgeline of Seceda, each day brings new trails, new challenges and unforgettable views.
Along the way we'll experience both the natural beauty and rich mountain culture of the Dolomites, staying in traditional alpine villages and travelling through landscapes shaped by centuries of history and local tradition. With two carefully chosen bases in Alta Badia and Val Gardena, we'll have the opportunity to explore some of the region's finest hiking areas while enjoying comfortable accommodation and time to connect with fellow travellers.

Professional soccer player turned backpacker and world traveler. Having found her passion for hiking after an injury took her out of soccer, she dove head-first into the world of outdoor adventure and has become everyone’s go-to for all things gear and trail tips.
She’s back to playing and coaching soccer and works for a mountain guiding company in Squamish as a trip co-ordinator and logistical wizard.
Needless to say, Kayla is a wealth of knowledge and she’s very fun and easy to chat with to boot!
This will be the 8th trip she’s hosted with Women in the Wild, and she can’t wait to meet you all on this epic adventure!

Our first hike takes us into the heart of the Dolomites, climbing towards the historic church of La Crusc (Santa Croce), one of the region's most iconic mountain chapels.
From here, we'll continue through the spectacular Armentara meadows, a landscape of rolling alpine pastures framed by towering limestone peaks. Following a circular route, we'll return to Badia after a full day immersed in some of the Dolomites' most beautiful scenery.

Today we explore the wild and remote landscapes of Fanes Natural Park, an area steeped in Ladin legends and known for its dramatic mountain scenery.
Our route takes us through alpine valleys, beneath rugged peaks and across some of the most beautiful terrain in the Dolomites. After completing the hike, a private transfer will return us to our hotel in Alta Badia.

After two rewarding hiking days, today is yours to enjoy at a slower pace.
Take a gentle walk through the surrounding mountains, relax at the hotel, explore the local villages or simply enjoy some well-earned downtime while soaking up the incredible scenery.
This pause also allows us to recharge before the second half of our adventure.

Today we journey deeper into the Dolomites as we hike from Alta Badia towards the beautiful Val Gardena region.
Starting near Corvara, we climb into the spectacular Puez Nature Park, passing dramatic rock formations, alpine flowers and vast mountain panoramas. Our route then descends through forests and mountain meadows before reaching the charming village of Selva di Val Gardena.
From here, we'll transfer to nearby Ortisei, our base for the remainder of the trip.

Today we visit one of the Dolomites' most famous landscapes: Alpe di Siusi, the largest alpine meadow in Europe.
After taking the cable car into the high alpine landscape, we'll spend the day hiking across open meadows surrounded by some of the most iconic mountain views in Italy. This is one of the most photogenic days of the trip, with endless opportunities to take in the vast scale of the Dolomites.

Our final hiking day takes us to one of the most spectacular viewpoints in the Dolomites.
Following scenic mountain trails, we'll hike beneath the dramatic peaks of the Fermeda and Sass Rigais mountains before reaching the breathtaking ridgeline of Seceda. With sweeping views across the jagged Dolomite peaks, it's the perfect grand finale to an unforgettable week in the mountains.
This evening we'll celebrate our adventure together over a farewell dinner.

Verona (VRN) - another convenient Italian gateway with good European connections.
Innsbruck (INN), Austria - a smaller airport offering the shortest transfer to the mountains.
Munich (MUC), Germany - a major international hub with excellent connections from North America and onward transport into the Dolomites.
Many guests travelling from the US and Canada choose to spend a few days exploring Italy or Europe before joining the trip, making any of these airports a great option depending on your travel plans

After breakfast, head into the heart of Venice to meet your local guide for a fascinating walking tour through one of the world's most unique cities.
Wander through hidden alleyways and picturesque canals as you discover iconic landmarks including St. Mark's Square and the Rialto Bridge, while learning about Venice's rich history, culture and traditions. You'll also visit the magnificent Doge's Palace, once the political heart of the Venetian Republic.
The afternoon is free for you to continue exploring, perhaps stopping for a spritz beside a canal or browsing the city's artisan boutiques.

Today you'll set sail across the Venetian Lagoon on a shared boat excursion to three of Venice's most beautiful islands.
Watch master craftsmen at work during a traditional glass-blowing demonstration in Murano before continuing to the colourful island of Burano, famous for its brightly painted fishermen's houses, lace-making heritage and picturesque canals.
Your final stop is the peaceful island of Torcello, the oldest inhabited island in the lagoon, home to the beautiful Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta and a wonderfully tranquil atmosphere.
Return to Venice during the afternoon with time to soak up the city's unique atmosphere before heading back to your hotel.
