This was certainly the experience of a lifetime! I have never been to Africa before and Rwanda and Uganda did not disappoint. Two beautiful countries with wonderful opportunities to see wildlife up close along with learning so much about two different cultures from the brilliant guides we had in both countries. I think Gorilla tracking was my favourite activity although staying at Uganda Lodge was a very close second. The children were so welcoming and it was a humbling experience to be able to help those that have so little when we have so much. We painted two girls' dormitories over two mornings and I really enjoyed being able to do something to benefit the children. Personally, I would like to have done more voluntary work or help the other volunteers with the tasks they were undertaking but we had plenty time to engage with the children, learn about how Uganda Lodge operates and enjoy the amazing hospitality and other activities on offer. It was a well organised, action packed trip and I would recommend EVA Travel to anyone looking for an immersive trip with a bit of adventure thrown in and most importantly, the opportunity to engage with local communities and help them to be sustainable.

This was a once in a lifetime trip. I enjoyed every thing we did. My highlight was of course seeing all the wildlife in their natural habitat. The gorilla trekking was off the chart. I have to pinch myself remembering sitting in the rainforest watching them. Sheila thank you for putting together this amazing trip.

well, the trip was pretty awesome on some accounts. The scenery was absolutely gorgeous. Getting to see the Gorillaz was fabulous. But It was probably not my favorite trip. I did meet some really cool people that I’m hoping to travel with again though.

I very much enjoyed the Iceland Photography Workshop with SheClicks, this female only photography workshop was led by two experienced and competent photographers - Angela and Emily - who made sure everyone felt welcome and engaged irrespective of their level of experience. The atmosphere was relaxed yet the agenda was packed with places to see and wonderful scenery to be enjoyed and photographed. Hannah, our guide and driver, was simply amazing, making sure at all times that we arrived safely and on time at our destination whilst having flexibility to accommodate our needs. When it looked like the weather was going to take a seriously bad turn the team put together alternative plans even though in the end we did not need them, this contributed to my feeling safe and well looked after. All of the hotels we stayed at were very good, modern and comfortable, as for the experience... well we saw northern lights, highlights of Reykjavik, beautiful waterfalls, diamond beach, basalt columns, snowy landscapes, icelandic horses and more. It was a memorable trip that I recommend to anyone considering it.

What an amazing trip. My first time on safari, and my first time spending time in a country like Tanzania. It was definitely life changing experience. I'm so glad it was more than "just a safari" (as extraordinary as the safari says were!) - I really got to see what life is like for Tanzanians of various backgrounds, from modern to primitive ways of life, and all the blurred lines in between. I got a very strong impression of their social culture - essentially everyone I met was warm, welcoming and friendly - that was clearly the default mindset, and it brought that out in me! We saw so many animals - tons of lions (apparently we got quite lucky!), giraffes, wildebeasts, bufallo, rhinos, elephants, various gazelles, loads of birds, various primates, a leopard, a cheetah, and even a super-rare wildcat sighting! We sort of lost a half-day due to intense rainfall one night, but our other ~3 safari days were so full that it didn't matter. Many thanks to our amazing guide Zebe, whose demeanour is really perfect for what he does. Calm, composed, and with a great sense of humour. And thanks to Bea for organising - the choice of accommodation and the structure of the week were very well thought through.
