Founder of SheClicks, camera reviewer, cake connoisseur and enthusiastic encourager of getting your knees muddy in pursuit of the perfect shot!
Angela is the driving force behind SheClicks, a thriving community of over 14,500 members, and she's passionate about helping people build confidence with their cameras, express themselves creatively and avoid the trap of thinking photography has to be done a certain way.
Angela is a fan of long exposures, wide-angle lenses and pretty much any excuse to be near the coast – and if you want to win her over, a well-made almond slice will do the trick.
So if you're unsure about your settings, wondering which lens to use or debating whether it's worth kneeling in icy water for that perfect composition... Angela’s here to help. (And the answer is probably yes.)
Let’s explore Iceland together and create some unforgettable images – and maybe get our feet a bit wet in the process!
Photographer, storyteller, wave-chaser and early morning light enthusiast (yes, she actually likes mornings).
Emily is co-leading the SheClicks Iceland trip and if anyone can make crawling out of a warm bed to photograph a freezing sunrise sound like a good idea, it’s her.
Emily is a former Fujifilm X Photographer (Ambassador), an award-winning landscape and seascape shooter and someone who sees beauty in moody skies, crashing waves and wet socks, and she’s got a real knack for helping others capture the emotion in a scene too.
She’s been published in Amateur Photographer, Digital Camera and Outdoor Photography, and her work has picked up awards from the British Photography Awards, Landscape Photographer of the Year, Garden Photographer of the Year and the Guild of Photographers. She also runs workshops and tours, writes beautifully about photography and somehow finds time to make YouTube videos from her travels.
On this trip, Emily will be the one encouraging you to try a new technique, go a little wider, shoot a little lower or embrace the drizzle in the name of good light. She’s relaxed, down to earth and always up for helping you push your creativity – especially if there’s coffee involved.
So grab your camera and a decent pair of boots – Iceland is calling and Emily’s ready to explore it with you.

Accommodation: Twin Share in 3* Hotel Skuggi, Reykjavik (or similar)
Meals Included: Dinner
We begin our day early, traveling to a local horse farm to photograph Iceland’s legendary horses at sunrise—majestic, shaggy-coated, and backlit by soft morning light.
From here, we journey to Gullfoss, one of Iceland’s most powerful waterfalls, where dramatic cascades tumble into a rugged canyon.
We finish the day in the geothermal area of Geysir, where erupting hot springs provide an otherworldly setting for twilight photos. If the sky is clear, we may return after dark to capture this steaming terrain beneath a curtain of stars and auroras.
Accommodation: Twin Share in 3* Hotel Geysir (or similar)
Meals Included: Breakfast
Those keen for an early start can revisit Geysir at sunrise, before we begin our scenic drive along Iceland’s dramatic South Coast. Our first stops are the fairytale-like Seljalandsfoss, where you can walk behind the falling water, and nearby Gljúfrabúi, a hidden waterfall tucked inside a mossy canyon.
Next is the mighty Skógafoss, a towering cascade often framed by rainbows in the mist. As the day winds down, we arrive at Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach, famous for its basalt sea stacks and powerful Atlantic waves—perfectly timed for golden hour shooting.
After dinner, we keep an eye on the skies. If conditions allow, we’ll step outside in search of the Northern Lights over the seaside village of Vík.
Accommodation: Twin share in 3* Hotel Dyrhólaey, near Vik (or similar)
Meals Included: Breakfast
Leaving Vík behind, we journey eastward through the ethereal Eldhraun Lava Fields, a vast expanse of moss or snow-covered terrain ideal for abstract and drone photography. If weather permits, we’ll stop at the majestic Fjaðrárgljúfur Canyon, carved by glacial waters over millennia.
Further along, we visit the basalt column floor at Kirkjubæjarklaustur and the curious rock formations of Dverghamrar, steeped in folklore.
Our day ends at Skaftafell, part of Vatnajökull National Park, where we’ll hike to Svartifoss—a delicate waterfall framed by dark hexagonal columns.
Tonight, we settle in for two nights surrounded by towering glaciers and stark beauty. If the skies remain clear, we’ll head out once more for aurora photography under the stars.
Accommodation: Twin share in 4* Fosshotel Glacier Lagoon, near Skaftafell (or similar)
Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
We rise early for a sunrise session at the breathtaking Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon, where icebergs drift across a mirror-like lake. Just across the road, Diamond Beach sparkles with chunks of crystal-clear ice washed ashore—perfect for unique close-ups and long exposures.
The rest of the day offers options: those wishing for an unforgettable experience can join an optional Ice Cave tour, venturing into the glowing blue heart of a glacier, camera in hand. If the group prefers, we may instead head to the jagged peaks of Vestrahorn for rugged seascapes and dramatic compositions.
Another opportunity for aurora hunting rounds out this awe-inspiring day.
Accommodation: Twin share in 4* Fosshotel Glacier Lagoon, near Skaftafell (or similar)
