Welcome to Tanzania!

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport, where your Tanzanian adventure kicks off the moment you land. You’ll be met with a warm welcome—and yes, likely a steaming cup of local coffee—before heading to your hotel in Arusha, a lively city tucked at the base of Mount Meru.

This afternoon is all about unwinding and settling in at your own pace. Whether that means strolling through the gardens, taking a dip in the pool, or simply enjoying a long shower and a well-earned nap, there’s no pressure. Take the time to breathe, reset, and ease into the rhythm of Africa.

In the evening, we’ll gather for a relaxed welcome dinner and group briefing. It’s the perfect moment to meet your fellow travellers, swap stories, and start building the connections that will make this journey unforgettable. With a plate of local cuisine and a drink in hand, we’ll set the tone for an experience that’s meaningful, immersive, and full of soul-stirring moments.

Karibu Tanzania—welcome to something special.

Waterfall, Coffee and Maasai Magic

Boots on—it’s time to stretch your legs and start exploring. This morning, we’ll venture out on foot to the breathtaking Materuni Waterfall, passing through vibrant forest and the lush, green farmlands of the Chagga people. With mountain backdrops, crisp air, and an occasional monkey sighting, it’s a beautiful introduction to rural Tanzanian life.

By late morning, we’ll swap trekking for tasting. Join a local coffee collective and discover how beans are harvested, roasted, and brewed—Chagga style. There’ll be singing, laughter, and some surprisingly vigorous bean grinding. Prepare to get involved, get a little messy, and sip the freshest coffee of your life, followed by a hearty local lunch.

After lunch, we journey to the peaceful Osiligilai Maasai Lodge, perfectly perched between Kilimanjaro and Mount Meru. You’ll be welcomed by members of the Maasai community and will stay in a traditional-style hut (with modern touches). Think epic views, warm hospitality, and a rare chance to simply be.

Today is about grounding yourself. In nature. In culture. In something real.

Our Chance to Give Back

Whether you’re chasing sunrise or savouring a sleep-in, this morning is yours. For the early birds, there’s the chance to watch dawn break over Kilimanjaro, an unforgettable view that’s absolutely worth the early wake-up call. Prefer a slower start? Linger over breakfast and ease into the day. No pressure.

Late morning, we’ll visit an inspiring women-led project run by Maasai changemakers. These incredible women are weaving tradition with empowerment, creating opportunities and rewriting what’s possible for their communities. Expect honest conversations, big smiles, and a deeper understanding of local life.

From there, we’re off toward Karatu. On the way, we’ll stop in Mto wa Mbu, a lively town known for its bustling market and kaleidoscope of cultures. Dive into the sensory overload: colourful stalls, fragrant spices, and friendly chatter. This is real, everyday Tanzania, and it’s glorious.

We’ll reach Karatu by late afternoon. It’s cooler here in the highlands, perfect for a swim, a sundowner, and a deep breath before the wild takes centre stage tomorrow.

Day 4 -24th Feb image

The Most Beautiful Park in Tanzania

An early start today, but trust us, it’s worth it. We’re heading deep into the Ngorongoro Crater, a vast, volcanic basin brimming with wildlife. This natural amphitheatre is one of Africa’s most iconic safari destinations, and for good reason. It’s one of the few places on the continent where, if luck’s on your side, you might just tick off the Big Five in a single day.

Watch as rhinos graze against a misty backdrop, lions lounge in golden light, and elephants lumber through tall grasses. Flamingos scatter across the lake in shades of pink, while hyenas, warthogs, and the occasional jackal add to the drama. It’s wild, it’s raw, and it’s utterly unforgettable.

We’ll enjoy a picnic lunch right in the heart of the crater, just keep your eyes on your sandwich, as the local birdlife has no concept of personal space.

After lunch, it’s onwards to the Serengeti. The scenery shifts, the sky widens, and suddenly, you’re in one of the most legendary ecosystems on Earth. By evening, we’ll arrive at our lodge, where creature comforts meet untamed wilderness.

Tonight, drift off to the lullaby of distant roars and whispering grass. Welcome to the wild.

The Endless Plains of the Serengeti

Wake up to the wild. Maybe it’s the deep rumble of a lion in the distance or the eerie whoop of a hyena saying goodnight. Either way, there’s no mistaking where you are. Today, the Serengeti is yours to explore, no schedules, no fences, just open plains and endless possibility.

This is the Serengeti in all its glory: sweeping savannahs, iconic acacia trees, and a wildlife cast that reads like a greatest hits album: leopards lounging, giraffes grazing, cheetahs prowling, and lions posing like cover models on rocky outcrops.

Midday, we’ll pause for a hot lunch in the bush—yes, in the middle of nowhere, and yes, with cutlery. With the wind in your hair and elephants possibly strolling past, it’s the kind of meal that makes office life feel like a distant dream.

The afternoon brings more game viewing, more surprises. Maybe it’s a cheetah chase, a hidden leopard, or a quiet moment watching a zebra foal take its first wobbly steps. Out here, nature decides the schedule.

By the time we return to the lodge at sunset, you’ll be dusty, exhilarated, and already telling stories that no one back home will believe.

Day 6 - 26th Feb image

From Predator Tracks to Baby Steps

Our last Serengeti sunrise, so if there’s anything left on your wildlife wish list, this morning’s your shot. A leopard draped in a tree? Lions on the prowl? With golden light spilling across the plains, this is nature at her most cinematic.

After a final breakfast and farewell game drive through these legendary lands, we head south toward Ndutu, a quieter, wilder pocket of the Greater Serengeti that steals the show during calving season. Fewer vehicles, more baby animals, and a front-row seat to one of nature’s most dramatic events.

This afternoon, we dive straight in with a game drive across the Ndutu plains. If fortune smiles, you’ll witness newborn wildebeest finding their legs while lions, hyenas, and cheetahs hover nearby. It’s tender and tense, brutal and beautiful, all playing out in the open.

As the sun dips, we arrive at our lodge nestled in the heart of it all. Wide horizons, whispering grass, and stars overhead, it’s wild, it’s peaceful, and it’s far from over.

Final Day in the Bush

We’ll rise with the sun for one final game drive in Ndutu. The early morning light paints the plains in gold, and with luck, we’ll catch the wildlife before the heat settles in, perhaps a cheetah stretching after a hunt, or a baby wildebeest wobbling alongside its mother.

It’s our last chance to soak in the rhythm of the wild. Take it slow. Breathe it in. This is the kind of morning that etches itself into your memory forever.

After lunch, we begin the journey north toward Karatu, retracing our route through open plains and highland villages. There’s a different kind of energy now, part satisfied, part sentimental, as we swap stories, spot the occasional giraffe en route, and reflect on just how much we’ve seen.

Tonight, we’ll gather for a special farewell dinner. It’s a celebration of the adventure we’ve shared, the people we’ve met, and the footprints we’re leaving behind, on each other and this incredible land.

There may be tears. There will definitely be laughter. And if the mood strikes, maybe a toast to doing life a little more adventurously.

Meeting our Ancestors

On our final morning, we take a step far beyond the usual tourist trail, and thousands of years back in time. Today, we meet the Hadzabe tribe, one of the last true hunter-gatherer communities in East Africa. Living in harmony with the land, their world offers a rare glimpse into humanity as it once was: resilient, resourceful, and deeply connected to nature.

This isn’t a performance, it’s a privilege. You’ll learn directly from the Hadzabe about tracking, traditional tools, and life without the distractions of modern living. It’s unfiltered, humbling, and likely to leave a lasting mark.

From here, we begin the final leg of our journey back toward the airport. The road winds on, and while your bags may not be heavier, your heart definitely will be.

We’ll part ways with sandy shoes, camera rolls bursting, and a whole lot more than just memories—stories, friendships, and a renewed sense of adventure.

Safari njema, fellow traveller. This journey doesn’t end here, it becomes a part of your.
